The Saturation Church Planting (SCP) Network is a dynamic network holding SCP
values and sharing resources to advance SCP.
What is Saturation Church Planting (SCP)?
We affirm and encourage church planting in general. However, our
specific interest and thrust is to promote church multiplication that
results in exponential growth, so that whole nations will be reached for
Christ (Habakkuk 2:14).
What is the SCP Network?
Informal Network
The people in SCP Network work under their
individual mission agencies or national churches. Some also work with
DAWN, and many were part of the Alliance for Saturation Church Planting.
There is no formal organization, no central office. We are an informal
network of people involved in facilitating church planting and church
planting movements.
Relationships
In its most basic form, the SCP Network consists of interpersonal
relationships between people involved in facilitating church planting
movements; like-minded people involved in helping churches plant
churches, largely in but not limited to Central and Eastern Europe.
Gatherings
In November 2006, we had our first gathering, where
various people in the network submitted research or papers on the theme
of “The Church,” and we spent several days together discussing the
material and the situations in our individual nations. We plan to have
SCP Network gatherings in the spring and fall of each year. The
Spring 2007 theme is “Facilitation in Europe.”
Online Interaction
We are currently developing a Google Group with a growing
library of documents on church planting and facilitation, along
with discussion threads to facilitate dialogue on pertinent topics.
